Mary Cano

Hi, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who utilizes client-centered, cognitive behavioral, expressive arts-based, and culturally competent approaches to therapy. My experience includes supporting at-risk adults who suffered from substance use and co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Additionally, I include spiritual meaning-making for clients desiring to explore the connection of spirituality with mental health.

My style is client-centered, in order to prioritize the client’s voice in how they perceive the problem is significantly impacting their life. My therapy approach is a semi-formal interview, with opportunities for in-session cognitive-behavioral activities, depending on what the client needs to process.
